Sitting on the ground of a small slum home, I look into the eyes of a lovely 42 year old woman. She is a daughter, a mother, and a wife who’s suffering from various health issues. She was raised Catholic, but knew very little about what it means to have a personal relationship with God. She has diabetes and due to the lack of proper medical care she developed kidney failure, and had also lost some of her toes. On top of this, she had an open wound on the bottom of her foot that was not healing properly.

After listening to her story I was moved personally and knew in my heart that God not only wanted to heal her, but was going to. We all had that sense. Her eyes began to brim with tears as we shared with her the love that Jesus has for her and that He wants her to be healed. We asked if we could pray for her and after, a guy on my team, Ben, asked if she wanted to accept Jesus Christ as her personal Savior.

Her eyes began to brim with tears as we shared with her the love that Jesus has for her and that He wants her to be healed.

“Does she really want to accept Jesus Christ?”, we asked our translator.

She said, “yes, she does!”

Seeing her accept Christ was such a joyful moment and I have full faith that God is going to heal her completely!
